Every year RiverStone Health's Healthcare for the Homeless holds a vigil on the lawn of the Yellowstone County Court House to remember those who have lost their lives due to homelessness. Not only is this event important, as it pays tribute our friends on the streets who have passed away because of their homeless circumstances, it also brings awareness to the issues of homelessness within our community.
KTVQ2 was there to recognize this memorial, and was gracious enough to talk to our own Jim Mack about our mission at Off The Streets, and the current happenings at the 4th Avenue Inn. While we will expand on this in future news, OTS and the 4th Avenue Inn are working together to open an emergency shelter, with hopes of offering its much-needed services within the next 4-6 weeks.
